2023 is Here and It's Time to Get Creative!

Blog about lifestyle, fashion and entrepreneurship that will help you become a badasss

2023 is here, and it's time to create a Vision Board that will help us plan and manifest our goals for the year. This can be a fun and creative exercise, allowing us to set intentions for the future and envision our success. Choosing a word that will keep us motivated and ready to go is also important. This word could be anything that inspires us and is meaningful to our goals. Consider writing the word down and placing it in a prominent place, such as on our Vision Board or somewhere that we can see it often. This will remind us what we are working towards and help us stay on track.

Creating a Vision Board is a great way to take ownership of our dreams and set our sights on what we want to accomplish in the year ahead. So let's get creative and start manifesting our goals for 2023.

There are many ways to create a Vision Board – you can either use physical materials such as magazines, fabric, stickers, and markers to create a collage of images, words, and phrases that represent your goals, or you can use digital platforms such as Canva or Pinterest to create a board on the computer or phone.

When putting together your board, think about the areas of life you want to focus on, such as career, health, relationships, or hobbies. As you choose images, words, and phrases, think about how each will help you achieve your goals for the year. Keep in mind that your Vision Board should be a reflection of who you are and what you want to achieve. Once it's finished, display it in a place where you can see it regularly. This will serve as a reminder and source of inspiration for your goals and dreams. Lastly, don’t forget to take time to reflect on your Vision Board and keep track of your progress throughout the year. With a Vision Board, the possibilities are truly limitless. So let's get started and start manifesting our dreams and success in 2023!

Where to start?

  1. Think about the year that is ending, recap, review, and think about your failures, and wins.

  2. Is there anything you didn’t achieve from your goals? If you still want it added to your new board

  3. What are your goals and priorities for the new year?

  4. Think of how you want to FEEL in the new year

  5. Include powerful words or phrases in your board and make sure to have ONE WORD that will define you and your board.

What are the do’s and don’ts when making a Vision Board

DON’T

  • Don't Follow a Template. You should not follow other people's way of doing it when creating your dream life.

  • Don't Rush! Creating your dream life and figuring it all out can be stressful, or it might take some time. Take all the time you need until you are ready, or create a quarterly board so you won't stress out about planning a whole year.

  • Don't Sabotage your board by being ashamed or insecure about what you want to accomplish.

  • Don't Half-Ass It. Take your time when doing it, but make sure to finish.

  • Don't Forget or Ignore Your Board.

DO

  • Be messy and have fun. Create a board that feels like you, and that aligns with what you want to accomplish in the new year.

  • Take your time and think about your goal. There is no need to rush the creation of your board; if you are not ready, that is okay. Create your board when you have the answers you need to design your future.

  • Embrace your board and what you want to accomplish with it.

  • Make it your own. By that, I mean if you need to create it alone, then take time to focus, put on some music, or whatever feels like you. Are you extroverted and need company? Then make it a party; get your drink of choice and celebrate your future. Just have fun!

  • Look at it. Make sure to have your board in a place you can see it all the time, where you can constantly remind yourself of what you are working towards.

Digital vs. Physical Boards

There is no wrong or right way when it comes to creating a Vision Board – it really depends on what works best for you. Whether you prefer a physical board or a digital one, the important thing is that you are able to easily access it and use it to remind yourself of your goals throughout the year.

Physical Vision Boards allow you to get creative with the materials you use, such as magazines, fabric, stickers, and markers. This can be a great way to bring out your inner artist and make a board that is unique to you. Plus, having a physical board means you can easily display it in a place that you can see every day, such as your bedroom or home office.

On the other hand, digital Vision Boards are great for convenience and flexibility. You can easily access them on your computer or phone, and you can easily update them with the click of a button. With platforms like Canva and Pinterest, you have access to a wide range of images and templates to choose from and customize.

Ultimately, it is up to you what you prefer. I like both physical and digital Vision Boards – I create mine on Canva, get images from Pinterest, and then print it and have it next to my desk and also as my background on my computer. This allows me to keep my goals at the forefront of my mind and take ownership of my dreams.

Your Turn

The Vision Board is a great way to stay motivated and inspired by the life you want to build. Have fun creating it, put your heart and soul into it, and enjoy the process. If you're a multi-passionate person who changes their plans often, consider making quarterly boards to stay aligned with your goals for those months.
